A body kit is also available including a new set of side sills, a new front bumper while in the rear a quad-pipe Cosworth exhaust system is available but also an air diffuser.<br /><span class="fullpost"><br />The performance upgrade meanwhile increases the output from the stock 313 hp and 700 Nm 4.4-liter V8 diesel engine to 500 hp.<br /><br />For the interior the RS500 package gets black quilted leather with silver stitching. Land Rover calls its design "coupelike."<br /><span class="fullpost"><br />The 2011 Range Rover Evoque will be avialbale with either a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine, which will be sild in two versions, with 190PS or 150PS. The front-wheel-driver Range Rover Evoque powered by the 150 PS 2.2-liter engine will offer a 130g/km* CO2 emissions level and a 58mpg fuel economy. The foru-wheel-drive version powered by the same engine oofers 50mpg* and sub 145g/km* CO2.<br /><br />MagneRide magneto-rheological adaptive dampers help the Evoque meet sporty or rough conditions without as much compromise as standard suspension tech. Electric Assist Power Steering (EPAS) is claimed to boost the sporty feel at the wheel, though our experience with EPAS puts us on the fence until we feel it for ourselves.<br /><br />Inside, the interior is influenced not only by the Range Rover Sport, but by Jaguar as well. Seriously bolstered seats straddle a center tunnel where a rotary gear transmission selector rises to hand. The four-setting Terrain Response System dial has been replaced with buttons attending an illuminated menu and controls are mainly managed through an eight-inch touchscreen. Starting with the driving dynamics of the Range Rover Sport, which has a similar DNA to a luxury sports sedan; Range Rover dynamics specialists set out to deliver a more agile and connected drive.<br /><br />Particular objectives were to increase steering precision and agility at lower speeds, so that the car was more responsive and fun to drive in typical urban driving conditions.<br /><br />While the Range Rover Evoque's light weight, compact footprint and low center of gravity helped to achieve a more agile character, key engineering steps were required to deliver the required responses.<br /><br />Range Rover engineers initially focused on optimizing the stiffness of the chassis systems and body structure, followed by meticulous tuning of the suspension components and electric power assisted steering (EPAS) system.<br /><br />Starting with the fully independent suspension – featuring long-travel coil-sprung struts front and rear – revised rear suspension geometry was adopted to raise the rear roll center.<br /><br />The variable-ratio speed-sensitive EPAS system was tuned for immediate responses around the straight-ahead position, and a precise, linear character. At 171-inches long (434cm), the Range Rover Evoque is a 17 inches (432mm) shorter, and with its dramatic coupe roofline it sits over 7 inches (178mm) lower too.<br /><br />A smaller vehicle is a more sustainable vehicle, and the compact size of the Range Rover Evoque has helped engineers minimize its weight, improve aerodynamic performance and reduce the quantity of materials required to produce it.<br /><br />The more efficient architecture also allows for the use of the lightweight, high-efficiency<br />four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, leading not only to excellent performance, but also to minimized fuel consumption.<br /><br />It is worth noting that the compact footprint of the Range Rover Evoque has not been achieved at the expense of traditional Range Rover virtues.
