The LWB M is 5.9 inches longer than the base car; as with most such rides, the majority of the extension is apportioned to rear passengers as additional legroom. The long-wheelbase model will be available with M25L or M35hL badges on its rump. Under the hood, two different engines are available. The entry-level M25L has a 2.5-liter V6 with 232 hp (173 kW / 235 PS) and 187 lb-ft (253 Nm) of torque, while the M35hL uses a hybridized 3.5-liter V6 with 360 hp (240 kW / 365 PS) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. It features a 5.9-inch (150mm) longer wheelbase than the standard Infiniti M, which provides more space to the rear seats, and upgraded function configuration.  Meanwhile, Infiniti announced it will launch in June the M35hL with another extended model, the M25L, tailored for Chinese customers. The M25L, also with a 5.9-inch (150mm) wheelbase extension, continues Infiniti's legacy of exceptional power, beauty and performance.  The new Infiniti M LWB's world premiere in Beijing reaffirms the automaker's commitment to the Chinese market.  An Extended Body Without Comprise in Beauty  The Infiniti M LWB's 5.9 -inch (150mm) longer wheelbase enhances  roominess for passengers sitting in the rear. However, the extension doesn't disrupt Infiniti M's classic sports sedan signature. Drawing inspiration from the curvaceous Essence concept, the Infiniti M LWB has a decisively dynamic posture.  The distinctive rear-driven stance presents a strong sense of stability with properly applied weight on the rear tires and a well-finished deck design rendering obvious aerodynamic efficiency. The Infiniti M LWB also continues the automaker's signature double-arch grille.  Luxury Through and Through  The Infiniti M35hL show car's interior is finished in Java, similar to the regular production model, and features genuine Japanese White Ash trim with silver-powder. Driver and passengers are treated to upscale comfort, thanks to the premium semi-aniline leather seats with armrests and console side-pad covered by SOFILEZ, a proprietary material which is ultra-soft in feel and resistant to wear.  The space created by the wheelbase extension enables rear passengers to enjoy the comfort and versatility of added roominess. Other features designed to enhance the joy for rear passengers include rear seat entertainment displays; heated and reclining power rear seats; rear side and rear sunshades; reading light; and trunk and rear door auto closure. There are also separate audio and air conditioning controls for the rear passengers.  The Forest Air System creates a clean and fresh in-car environment by filtering out harmful elements and optimizing interior air control. Inside and outside odor is under the constant surveillance of the Auto Intake Control system. Once harmful or unpleasant odors are detected, the grape polyphenol filter acts to remove allergens and the PlasmaclusterÔ air purifier helps eliminates bacteria or micro-fibers to ensure clean air in the car. The moisture level is optimized when the air conditioner is on, while the varying breeze function provides natural air flow.  The entertainment hub centers around the tailor-made Bose® 5.1 studio surround sound system incorporating 16 speakers. On the road, the AudioPilot® adjusts the sound according to the speed and the Bose® (ANC) helps cancel noise in the cabin to create a cleaner background for the audio system.  Infiniti also offers drivers an advanced Infiniti Connection system, recently introduced in the United States on the new 2013 Infiniti JX luxury crossover, which provides full connectivity between the car and the service center. It is packed with features such as Theft Notification, Roadside Assistance, Emergency Call, and Destination Assistance.  The Powertrain That Delivers More and But Uses Less  The M35hL has been designed and engineered to add to, not take away from, the driving experience, a key part of any Infiniti's appeal. At the heart of the car is the new 3.5-liter VQ35HEV engine, the only hybrid engine recently listed among the "Top 10 Ward's Best Engines" by the prestigious Ward's Auto World Magazine. It provides unbeatable fuel efficiency for urban and highway driving.  The engine boasts maximum power output of 360 horsepower (240kW/6800 rpm) and maximum torque of 258 lb-ft (350Nm/5200 rpm), while a motor with two clutches drawing power from a lithium battery pack in the trunk area adds another 50kW and 199 ft-lb (270Nmin) power and torque respectively. The hybrid system is able to achieve the same level of acceleration with 30% less fuel consumption compared to a conventional VQ37 engine. The driver will not sense any loss of speed, dynamism and exhilaration in a hybrid Infiniti, yet can be proud of his or her green contribution.  The 2.5-liter VQ25 HR engine on the M25L is equally outstanding in its performance, impressively delivering max power output of 232 horsepower (173kW/6400 rpm) and max torque of 187 lb-ft (253Nm/4800 rpm). It is light, speedy and quiet, built with an aluminum-alloy cylinder head and block.  The electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with a drive-adaptive learning algorithm sense has played a positive role in further improving driving performance. It is also equipped with manual shift mode, Adaptive Shift Control (ASC), and Downshift Rev Matching, which provides faster, smoother downshifts by raising engine rpm slightly. A unique Eco Pedal System also improves fuel efficiency by 5%. The system counteracts in advance with a pedal feedback control mechanism through a tactile indicator. At the same time, the driver can constantly monitor the level of fuel-efficient driving which is indicated by the color and flashing of a lamp on a dash meter.  Wrap-Around Safety  The M35hL and the M25L create a Safety Shield that wraps the cars on all sides. Safety in front of each car is protected by the combined technologies of Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) with full speed range, Distance Control Assist (DCA) and Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA).  Lane Departure Warning (LDW)/Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), and Blind Spot Warning (BSW)/Blind Spot Intervention (BSI) provide maximum side and rear safety around the car.  Infiniti has initiated the world's first DCA and BSI technologies to further enhance safety around the car. The DCA system uses a three-fold approach to keep the driver at a safe distance behind other traffic. It provides a tactile warning through the accelerator pedal, and visual and audible warnings are also given if the driver doesn't respond. The system uses laser range sensors to detect another vehicle ahead, while a computer calculates if there is a threat present by measuring the vehicle speed, distance to the vehicle ahead and closing speed between the two vehicles.  The BSI works in synergy with BSW in the event of unintended drift. The BSW system illuminates an indicator light if another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area. If the driver then activates the turn signal, the indicator flashes and an audible warning sound. If the driver fails to respond the warning, the BSI activates selective braking to help the driver return the vehicle back toward the centre of the lane.  The LDW/LDP system works similarly as the BSW/BSI, by using a small camera installed behind the windshield to detect lane markers in front of the vehicle. Then it calculates the vehicle's position relative to those lane markers, and helps warn the driver of a potential unintended lane departure with a visual indicator and audible buzzer. If the driver does not return the vehicle back toward the center of the travel lane, the LDP system assists the driver with a gentle application of the brakes on the opposite side of the drift.

Outside there's a set of LED daytime running lights, LED rear lights and bi-xenon headlamps. You also get 17-inch wheels, gloss black mirrors and slightly beefed-up styling about the bumpers. Ibiza Cupra’s firepower comes from a 1.4 litre TSI, the same you’ll find in the Polo GTI, Audi A1 and Skoda Fabia VRS. The direct-injection, twin charged engine produces 180 PS and 250 Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed DSG with paddle shifters. Ibiza Cupra also gets the XDS electronic differential lock and high-performance brakes. One of the most important differences between the standard Ibiza and the Cupra model is not visible to the naked eye. The Cupra rides on a track-tuned Cupra chassis, which provides a sportier driving experience. Inside there's a new entertainment system which works with the portable sat-nav system like the one in the Seat Mii and VW Up. You can simply unclip the five-inch nav unit and take it with you while you finish your journey on foot. The dynamic icon of the SEAT brand The first generation of the Ibiza Cupra took to the streets in 1996, since when the dynamic Cupra lineage has developed to become an icon of the SEAT brand. The Ibiza Cupra Concept shows how the next chapter of this success story will be written - the state-of-the-art 1.4 TSI engine is not only powerful but is also muscular, producing a maximum torque of 250 Nm. Expressive design with powerful lines The sharp design communicates the spirit of the new Ibiza Cupra Concept from the very first glance - this compact hot hatch has a solid and powerful stance. The new face with its broad grille and bold air intakes emphasises the breadth, solidity and power of the Ibiza Cupra Concept. The sophisticated design of the headlamps shows the attention to detail in the work carried out at the SEAT Design Center. Typical of SEAT's design language are the highly defined outlines to the lamps, which at the same time are integrated perfectly into the Ibiza's sculptural form. The LED daytime running lights trace the line of the headlamps to deliver a unique light signature, as do the LED rear lights.  From a technical point of view, the bi-xenon headlamps provide enhanced illumination, while cornering lights are integrated into the large fog lamps. In profile the three-door Ibiza SC bodyshape is brought to life by its sharply drawn lines and edges, while the muscular rear shoulders and 17-inch wheels underscore its dynamics. It is priced between £340-to-£480 more than the TS2 donor vehicle. Outside, Venture Edition models are distinguished by their 17” gunmetal alloy wheels, sports front grille, privacy glass and colours including Brilliant Black and optional Crystal White Pearlescent, Black Mica or Stormy Blue Mica, as well as a unique colour for this version - Dolphin Grey Mica. Just 257 of the Mazda6 Venture Editions are available. Under the hood, two engines are available. The 2.0-liter MZR petrol engine with 153 hp returns 40.9 mpg and 159 g/km of CO2, while the 2.2-liter MZR-CD diesel engine with 161 hp returns 53.5 mpg and 140 g/km of CO2. However, it also previews the styling elements of the another 2 vehicles that are to join the DS line-up which Citroen has confirmed will be a C-segment premium sedan and an SUV. Citroen describes the Numero 9 as a "new take on the shooting brake body style," combining the proportions of a wagon with the style of a fastback five-door and the dimensions of a large executive car. The Numero 9 sits on 21-inch wheels, with its glassy roof just 1.27m off the ground. The 4.9m length and wide-set headlight and grille treatment accentuate the car's ground-hugging stance, while the fastback rear profile and aerodynamically shaped pillars contribute to a low drag figure. Even those mammoth wheels are sculpted to scythe through the airstream with minimal fuss. The plug-in hybrid setup offers a 30 mile EV only range, automatically chooses the power source and driven wheels according to conditions and driver demand, can manage 62mph in 5.4 seconds, the usual sill economy and emission figures (in this case 166mpg and 39g/km) and can even switch the ICE to standby when not needed. The concept is designed with plug-in full-hybrid technology; an ultra-efficient system that boasts remarkable levels of performance - 166mpg fuel economy, 50km range in ZEV mode, 295hp, a ‘boost’ function and 39g/km of CO2. Designed in Paris, Numéro 9 opens a new chapter in the styling of the DS line. NUMÉRO 9 IN DETAIL: A FRESH TAKE ON FRENCH-STYLE LUXURY Following on from Citroën DS3, DS4 and DS5, concept car Numéro 9 takes a fresh look at the DS line with a new take on the prestigious shooting brake design. Subtly combining the proportions of a coupé with those of an estate, Numéro 9 hints at exceptional driving sensations, with its taut lines, long bonnet and ultra-low stance (1.27m tall) on 21-inch wheels. It also promises unique onboard comfort with its generous proportions (4.93m long and 1.94m wide, with a 3m wheelbase) providing plenty of room for rear occupants. The three glass areas in the roof also create a welcoming, friendly cabin ambience. Numéro 9 evolves the design cues of the current DS line, introducing the new front-end identity of future models, along with an original light signature. The grille is sculpted in 3 dimensions and flows into the full-LED headlights, which end in daytime-running lights. Condensing the distinctive forms of the DS line, the concept also features a floating roof, underlined by chrome trim with discreet DS markings, and glazed side surfaces flowing into the rear window. A sophisticated use of body colours and materials includes deep black bodywork with subtle hints of violet. The finish, named ‘Whisper’, is a perfect match for the warmer shade of the ‘Californian’ chrome finish. The electric motor is powered by lithium-ion batteries that can be recharged in just 3½ hours from a normal domestic socket. The model on display at the Beijing Motor Show is fitted with a 1.6 THP petrol engine developing 225hp (165kW) and 275Nm of torque. With its plug-in hybrid technology, Numéro 9 respects the environment. It has a range of 50km (around 31miles) in all-electric ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) mode and, on roads demanding successive acceleration and deceleration, the hybrid drivetrain limits consumption by using both sources of energy. On the motorway, the combustion engine takes over to deliver real performance. Numéro 9 features new-generation micro-hybrid technology designed to switch the combustion engine to stand-by whenever it is not required. When the driver requires speed and torque, a ‘boost’ function combines the power of the combustion engine and electric motor to enable high levels of performance (up to 295hp). Numéro 9 takes just 5.4 seconds to go from 0 to 62mph and 25.3 seconds to travel 1,000m from a standing start. When grip is lacking, the car switches to four-wheel drive mode with the electric motor driving the rear wheels and the combustion engine powering the front wheels. In particularly difficult driving conditions, such as driving up a sloping, snow-covered road, the driver can manually select 4WD mode. The four-wheel drive system and hydraulic active suspension then deliver increased traction, making full use of the potential of Numéro 9 in complete safety.
